The girls varsity team finished in 1st place. Team Scores: 1st place-Liberty(42pts.), 2nd place-Triad(43pts.), 3rd place-Edwardsville Lincoln(48 points), 4th place-O'fallon(86pts.) The girls ran GREAT!

The boys ran VERY well at this meet and kept their team score close to that of two very good teams in Edwardsville Lincoln and Triad. Tyler Woolridge is a 6th grader running at the #1 individual spot for Liberty!! Matt Setchell and Jacob Hanks are also 6th graders running varsity for Liberty!!

O’fallon Meet

Date: Tuesday, September 27, 2005

Time: 4:00pm

Bus Departure time: 2:30pm, please dismiss from class at 2:10pm. We should be back at Liberty around 6:30pm.

Course Length: Girls (1.2 miles), Boys (1.8 miles) This is the same course we ran earlier in the season.

Race Order:
-Open Girls Race
-Open Boys Race
There is no varsity at this race

Directions (to O’fallon course)
Take Illinois Route 159 south to Fairview Heights
(or you can take Interstate 255 south to Interstate 64 East)
Take Interstate 64 East to O’fallon
Take Exit 14 (O’fallon exit)
Take Route 50 east through town
Go past McDonalds and then Hardees
You will see O’fallon City Park on your left (there is a baseball diamond right off the road)
Go just past the park and take your first left, there should be parking available here.

Location: Jacksonville Community Park – Intersection of Rts. 36 & 67
Time: 2:00pm Start

Bus Departure: 10:30am (Please be at the middle school at 10:15am)

We should be back at Liberty around 6:30pm. (approximately)

Please bring money for Wendys, we will be stopping on the ride home.

T-shirts: These were sold at last year’s invitational, I am assuming they will be sold again this year (bring money if you want to purchase a t-shirt).

Race Schedule: All races are open races at this meet, no team scores are kept at this meet. There is no varsity.
-6th/7th grade girls race
-6th/7th grade boys race
-8th grade girls race
-8th grade boys race
Distance: This is a 1.9 mile course

Directions
- Take Illinois Route 159 north out of Edwardsville
- Go through the town of Bunker Hill, IL (continue north)
- Look for Illinois Route 16
- Take a left on Route 16 (you are heading west now)
- Go through the tiny towns of Shipman and Piasa
- At the four-way stop take a right and head north (IL Rt. 111)
- Look for the U.S. Route 167 signs and follow north
- You will go through the town of Greenfield, IL
- U.S. Route 167 will take you to Jacksonville, IL
- Head into town when arriving in Jacksonville (keep going straight, stay on the same road.
- This meet is at the city/community park, it is the first large park you encounter. It will be on your left. There is a ferris wheel on the north side of the park, if you see this on your left – you have just driven by the park.

-Take Illinois Route 159(Troy Road) south to Interstate 270
-Take Interstate 270 east to Interstate 70
-Take Interstate 70 east to Illinois Route 4 (Lebanon exit)(exit #21)
-Take Illinois Route 4 south to Lebanon, IL
-At the first four-way stop in Lebanon, take a left (this is U.S. Route 50)
-Take U.S. Route 50 east to Salem, IL
-Once in Salem, take a left on Illinois Route 37 (N.Broadway Street)
-Travel north on N. Broadway (IL Route 37)
-The park will be on your left across the street from Salem High School

• Cars that park in the race area will not be allowed to leave until all races are completed.
• Parking outside the race area is available near the swimming pool and tennis courts.
