Halloween Parade

Halloween Parade - We will be marching in the Halloween Parade on Monday, October 31st. All runners are invited to march in the parade. This is optional, you are not required to march with us. The parade will start at 6:30pm. We will be meeting in the Woodland School parking lot around 4:30pm to set up the Liberty Cross Country float. The parade will end on north Main Street at the Eden Church parking lot, please have your ride pick you up there. Coach Chapman will be walking in the parade with you. A special thank you to RP Lumber for the use of their truck during the parade.

Optional Practices (Fall/Winter)

Optional Practice Schedule:

Thursday, October 20th and Friday, October 21st (3:15-4:15pm)

Starting Monday, October 24th we will be running every Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday (3:15-4:15pm). Please bring weather appropriate clothing to run in. You will need to have a ride pick you up between 4:15 and 4:30 or you will need to ride the 4:30pm activity bus home.

Good Luck at State

Good luck to the Liberty varsity girls who will run at the IESA State Cross Country meet on Saturday morning (October 15th). The meet is held at Maxwell Park in Normal, IL. The following girls will run for Liberty: Ashley Benson, Diane Frese, Melissa Mazar, Sierra Goldsmith, Channell McNeese, Emily Highlander and Megan McNamee. Emily Robbs will travel with the team as the alternate.

Please bring Coach Chapman $3.00 no later than October 13th.

You must have a ride waiting for you at 4:15 or you need to ride the 4:30 activity bus home. We will not have any optional running on this date.

Jacksonville Invitational

Saturday, October 1st (Jacksonville,IL)

No team scores were kept at this meet, however, medals were awarded to the top 10 individual finishers. The following Liberty runners earned medals: Diane Frese(4th place), Ashley Bensen(6th place), Channell McNeese(8th place), Melissa Mazar(10th place) and Tyler Woolridge(10th place in the boys race). All Liberty athletes ran well at this meet! This was the last race of the season for those runners not running at sectionals.
